Paint Correction/Finishing

Single Step Paint Correction

This level of paint correction utilizes just one stage of machine polishing. While not considered a “perfection detail” given the single stage process, a big transformation in the condition of the paint can be achieved. On softer paints (Japanese cars for instance), we can usually remove 50-70% of all swirls, haze, and light defects, whereas on harder paints (German brands), this could be 30-50%. There are a lot of different variables that dictate just how much correction that you can safely achieve in a one step process, and we approach each car and paint system accordingly to maximize results for the given budget or goals. There is no one system or product that works for all vehicles, and we are well-versed in all the modern polishes and techniques so that each vehicle can be tailored to accordingly.

2-Stage(Multi) Paint Correction

If you choose (or need) a multi-stage paint correction, you’re significantly improving the finish by removing all of the swirls, and all but the heaviest of scratches and defects. This process starts with a heavy machine compounding stage to remove the defects, and then followed by a secondary polishing stage to refine the finish and increase gloss and clarity. Given the differences in paint types, condition, and size of vehicles, the rate for the Multi-Stage Paint Correction varies. The paint type and condition will also dictate the level of correction, but typically this process on most cars will get rid of 80-95% of all defects. And at this level of correction, you’re getting very close to that of a brand new vehicle!

Hybrid Paint Correction

This as you can imagine in a combination of the two options above. The top half or body line of the vehicle (approximately the door handles) typically shows the largest amount of defects and swirls. This portion would receive a multi step correction. The lower half, where defects are not as noticeable, would receive a single step correction.
